Professional Spotlight

Over the past decade, technology had changed in leaps and bounds.  Sometimes, educators make the mistake of believing their students know more about technology than they do.   They allow this belief to deter them from using the technology that would benefit their students.

It is our job as educators to prepare our students not only for the state tests, but more importantly for the outside world.  The work world will expect them to know their way around a computer system, the Internet, and yes, even iPods.

On March 6, 2010, at the NYSCATE Hudson Valley Conference, Jennifer Parzych and Margaret McNamara will be presenting a workshop titled “iPods in Education.”  The focus of this presentation will be ways to use this popular technology to engage and educate students.
